For that, you will need to download the Samsung Good Lock app from the Galaxy Apps Store and enable the correct settings. Here's how to enable the cover widget launcher on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3.
How to install Good Lock to open apps on the thumbnail screen on Galaxy Z Flip 3?
Samsung offers a lot of options to users outside of the mini screen on the Galaxy Z Flip 3, but the Good Lock app gives users a host of additional tweaks and settings they can use to make the phone truly their own. To enable the cover screen launcher, you will first need to download Good Lock from the Galaxy App Store.
- Open the app drawer from your home screen.
- Then tap on the Galaxy App Store icon.
- Find Good Lock, or click here on your phone to go directly to it.
- And now click Install to install Good Lock.
Once Good Lock is installed, you will need to install the Multistar module. Good Lock is a kind of "hub" app that gives you easy access to a number of sub-applications that add more settings to your phone. To do that, follow the steps below.
- Open the app drawer on the home screen.
- Then tap on the Good Lock icon.
- Now scroll down to find Multistar and click on the download icon.
- Then install the Multistar app from the Galaxy Apps Store when it appears.

Now that you have completed the installation process of Good Lock and Multistar in your device we are ready to go, the next step you need to configure the Multistar cover screen app launcher. Here's how to do it.
- Open the app drawer from the home screen.
- Then tap on the Good Lock icon.
- Scroll down until you find the Multistar option and click to open it.
- Then select I (Heart) Galaxy Foldable at the top of the list in Multistar.
- Now tap on Cover Launcher Widget at the bottom of the next section.
- Click Cover Widget Settings at the top to add the widget to the cover screen.
You can also rearrange the items as you wish. By default, the most recent widgets will be added to the end of the widgets circle on the cover screen (miniature screen).
- Navigate back to the Cover Launcher widget screen.
- Then select the plus sign (+) icon to add a new app to the bundle.
By default, Samsung will present a list of recommended apps. You can add any app by selecting the dropdown menu at the top of the screen and selecting All apps.
- Click on any app icon you want to add to the cover launcher in the home mini screen.
