But recently, a new update appeared from the beta Windows 11, indicating that Microsoft is working to make use of this feature in the rest of the various versions of Windows 11 and make the Microsoft account mandatory during the installation of Windows 11 Pro as well.
How to bypass the Microsoft account login requirement while installing Windows 11
Fortunately, the Microsoft account login requirement during Windows 11 installation can easily be bypassed by closing the “Network Connection Flow” process that is running in the background during the installation of the Windows operating system by following these steps.
The problem of requesting the associated Microsoft account appears when you are currently installing Windows 11 Home Edition, specifically, when you follow the normal installation steps, a screen similar to the Windows installation serial request screen will appear, where you will be asked to connect to the Internet if the computer is not already connected. In this case, you will not be able to complete the installation process as the "Next" or skip button will not be active to go to the next step and skip the Windows prompt to provide an internet connection to complete the process.
- When you follow the steps and get to the same screen as above, instead of connecting to Wi-Fi or any other internet sources, press Shift and F10 simultaneously on your keyboard.
- Now a Command Prompt window will appear in front of you. In the window, type the following command "taskmgr" and press Enter.
- Entering the command in the Cmd window will open the Task Manager tool, press the More details button to display the advanced interface of the tool.
- Then go to the "Processes" tab at the top of the window.
- Then scroll down under the “Background processes” option until you find an active process called “Network Connection flow”.
- Click on it once and then click on the "End task" button at the bottom to force the process to close.
- You can also force close the "Network Connection flow" process directly from the Command Prompt without opening the task manager by typing the following command and pressing Enter on your keyboard:
taskkill /F /IM oobenetworkconnectionflow.exe
After completing the above-mentioned steps, you can close the Task Manager window and the Command Prompt window, and then you will notice that the prompting screen to connect to the Internet has disappeared, replacing it with the “Who's going to use this device?” screen where you can set a name for the local account by entering any name in entering your name field and then proceed with the rest of the steps to install Windows 11 where you will need to enter your name and password and some other actions such as setting security questions and other steps to create a local account.
