The problem of forgetting the password in the BIOS can be bypassed by deleting it or resetting the BIOS, and this is what we will learn about through this article, where we will show you a set of ways through which we will be able to delete or reset a password in the BIOS Bios.
Method 1: Removing the motherboard battery:
The first method is to delete the BIOS password, by removing the CMOS battery, as this is the simplest and fastest method, by removing and disconnecting the power cable from the device, then opening the computer cover to access the internal components, and removing the battery from the motherboard and leaving it For 10 to 15 minutes and then put it back in place again, this will restore the BIOS system to its original and original settings.
The second method is through a piece of CMOS Jumper:
In the second method in which we will be able to delete and remove the BIOS password, it will be by using the jumper, an electronic piece on the motherboard, located near the location of the CMOS battery, it can be accessed after opening the cover and searching for the CMOS jumper.
Now that you have found it, you must focus on the next step, before removing it, remember how it was, and save the location of each head and the side it belongs to, and it is preferable to take a picture of it through the phone's camera to remember the way it was connected to it.
After that, you carefully remove it and remember where each side is and the head it belongs to, then you rotate, flip it and install it in reverse on the second and third head, meaning that the right side of the piece will install it on the second head and the left side of it that was installed on the first head will install it on the head the third.
After removing and flipping the jumper piece and installing it, press the computer power button for 15 seconds until the power on the motherboard passes, and remember you must do these steps and the power cable is disconnected from the device, this step will also reset the BIOS.
Now you are going to put the piece back in its original position the way it was attached to it before you flipped it, and you need to install the heads in their old place so that each direction goes back to its proper head, then you turn on the computer normally.
Note: Sometimes we may not find the jumper piece, and this is related to the type and version of the motherboard, it replaces it with a yellow button, it is enough to press it for 15 seconds until the power on the motherboard passes, where the BIOS will be reset to the default mode.
The third method is through the command prompt:
The third way to delete the BIOS password is to put the system boot on the desktop, then rely on the MS-DOS commands, through the command prompt, by going to the Windows search bar next to the (Start) menu and typing Command Prompt or CMD, and run it, then type the following commands and press Enter after each command.
- The first command is debug
- Second command o 70 2E
- Third command o 71 FF
- Fourth command quit
With this command, you will also be able to reset BIOS settings to default.
